The genuine stress urinary incontinence is the most common bladder voiding dysfunction in women. Beyond that, there are many more different types of female urinary incontinence, which also require surgical treatment.

SERASIS-Systems are especially well suited to treat genuine stress urinary incontinence, intrinsic sphincter dysfunction and patients who simultaneously undergo pelvic organ prolapse interventions. To achieve tension free placement, the sling is comprised of monofilous, non-resorbable polypropylene or partially resorbable bi-component material. Besides the standard retropubic approach, the extensive array of tools and implants by Serag Wiessner also allow the transobturator, paraurethral and posterior route. All different approaches, such as vaginal, abdominal, inside-out and outside-in are possible.
