Dr. med. dr hab Jacek Kociszewski has been director of the department of gynaecology and urogynaecology at the Lutheran hospital of Hagen-Haspe since 2003. Troughout his career, he has aquired an extensive expertise regarding pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence. Before being called to Hagen he has been working as a senior consultant in Wuppertal at the Landesfrauenklinik.

Besides having extraordinary diagnostic abilities by developing and establishing the concept of pelvic floor sonography, he is also an accomplished pelvic floor surgeon. All the measures we take, be it diagnostic or surgical, are constantly and scientifically evaluated and the results are being published, which allows us to perpetually improve patient care.

Dr. Kociszewski is regularly organizing both theoretical and practical courses, and he has been doing so for many years. These workshops, aimed towards medical professionals, have gained widespread international recognition. This type of multilateral commitment has lead to his acknowledgment as a top tier expert in the field of urogynaecology by the professional society (AGUB III). This type of qualifications is shared with only a few other doctors nationwide.

Dr. Kociszewski is living close to the hospital with his wife, three kids and his dog. He enjoys painting and cycling to remain balanced during his arduous and demanding work life.
